Maybe it's Christmas and the cost that comes from it, but the months of December and January in my work calendar are usually quiet. I think people are missing out on some of the best times to photograph the winter wildlife in the Scottish Highlands.
I understand that people might look at these months and say "The days are so short though, to pay full price for what might only be a few hours..." and I can see their point.
Hence, for the months of December and January from now on, for workshops based in the Scottish Highlands, I am discounting my daily rates as follows:
- £200 for a 1-to-1
- £300 for a 1-to-2
These discounts don't apply to workshops out on Mull.
The days might be shorter, but in my experience the weather is usually more wintery (we had a good covering of snow for a week or so in January 2025), the locations for the wildlife are quieter, so fewer folks to potentially disturb us, and the wildlife is no different in behaviour to how it is in February, which seems to be the month of choice for visitors.
Email me with your suggested dates for these months, and save a chunk of money doing so.
