Invertebrates Gallery
While invertebrates are the most numerous and diverse of wildlife across the UK, Pete has only dipped his toe into their world so far. Using a variety of photographic techniques to capture images of these, often tiny or fast moving creatures, the content of this Invertebrates Gallery will grow over time.
Pete has used specialist macro lenses for some images, which yield incredible detail of the subjects, but can be limiting with such a shallow depth of field.
Also employed are telephoto lenses, both prime and zoom, sometimes used with extension tubes to enable closer focusing. If you're interested in such techniques, why not join Pete for a session of tuition?
All the images are from the wild, photographing the insects in their habitat, without any interference.
